Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes

“Time may change me but I can’t trace time”.

7 years ago, I thought by this time I was going to be a famous blogger. Just kidding. But I did think I would be posting at least once every few months, not every few years! Better late than never.

So much has happened since 2016- Josh and I are older, grayer, and hopefully a little wiser. My little wildflowers are not littles anymore. They’re so much fun to adventure with- as long as we don’t forget the snacks. We’ve hiked many miles, floated many miles, drove so many miles we needed a new-to-us car (yep, we’re Subaru peeps now), camped in the popup and spent as much time as we could with family and friends. Life has been good. But also challenging… Did I mention the pandemic and giving up on social media?!?! And because life can be as cruel as it is kind, we’ve suffered some gigantic losses- Our sweet Abuelita Licha and Grandma Bard, my uncle Pepe and just a few months ago, our beloved Papa Joe. Since May, we feel like we have been living in an altered state, trying to be patient with our grief and appreciating everything more.

Another big change: after 10 years, I am changing careers. It was a bittersweet decision to make but one that will encourage me to continue to learn and grow and look out for our public lands. Oh, and I just chopped off a lot of my hair!

I still have no idea what the plan is for this little virtual space of mine but I’m hoping it can be a space where I keep loved ones up to date with our shenanigans.

See you soon… or in 7 years 😉
